Hello, Any time there is a problem with the Anti-lock Brake System or the ABS in any vehicle, including your Dodge Durango, the traction control will automatically disable and display the light you are seeing. This is due to the fact that it relies on the ABS to function and will stop functioning if the ABS does. ABS codes can be more challenging to retrieve and interpret as they require a more specialized professional scanner to read them. One of the more common ABS concerns I have seen with your particular Dodge Durango are bad wheel speed sensors. However without being there to inspect the vehicle in person, I believe it is best to have a certified mechanic look over your Durango to diagnose your ABS light on issue, and why the traction control is disabling and causing its light to turn on.
