Q: where is the gear oil located on the car
trying to find out where the gear oil is located on my 1999 toyota solara (manual)
My car has a manual transmission.
To check the gear oil level on your vehicle, there is a filler plug located on the drivers side, front of the transmission. The oil level should be 0-5mm below the lip of the plug hole. Keep in mind that the vehicle must be sitting on level ground and you will need a new washer for the fill plug, as they are not reusable, according to the manufacturer.
