What tips should be followed when choosing a car seat to use?

When choosing a car seat, consider the followings:

  • Make sure the car seat is rated for your child’s height and weight.

  • Make sure the seat works with the required seating position (rear facing for infants, or

convertible rear to front facing for a system that grows with your child).

  • Make sure that any child seat you purchase complies with the US government’s requirements (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213).
