Q: What is a throttle body filter.

My "Check Engine Light" came on and the codes that came up were

My car has 26748 miles.

Check Engine Light is on Inspection $94.99 - $114.99 Get a Quote

The code for your car didn’t come through with your question. But I would say the throttle body filter is the air filter. Sometimes there is a screen in front or behind the throttle plate itself, but this is not very common. There are many different codes associated with the throttle body. I wonder if maybe you have this definition wrong. Try posting this question again and make sure the code comes through.

There is some chatter on the internet about this code. But I have not been able to verify it with my information system.

If you should need help with this, I recommend the following inspection. Check engine light is on inspection.

Good luck!
