What does it mean if the Electronic Power Steering indicator comes on in the dash?

Your car is equipped with an electronic power steering system (EPS). This is very different from a conventional hydraulic system. If the Electronic Power Steering indicator in the dash comes on, there’s something wrong with the system. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Pull over somewhere safe

  2. Turn off the engine

  3. Start the engine again

  4. If the EPS light comes back on and stays on, you need to have the car inspected

Tip

If you rev the engine while it’s idling, the EPS light may come on. It should go out shortly afterward.

Car sputtering and vibrating when idling.

I have a 2012 ford focus se hatchback, and i got a message in on screen saying my transmission was hot and it needed service now.
You should have the fluid levels checked first and then scan for failure codes. If your transmission is overheating then this is from lack of cooling or it is just a temperature sensor inside the transmission that is not reading...

I have a no crank no start issue and the check engine light is on?
If the problem is simply no starter motor operation the fault is typically quite limited so, no, it is not likely to require an expensive repair and your engine is probably fine. First, the battery should be load tested (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-is-dead-inspection)...
