Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be helping you with your question today. I've been working on VWs for over 30 years now, so I should be able to help you through this. Please understand that some of my suggestions may require special diagnostic tools and equipment that many home mechanics may not have, but are often required. **Also, the site automatically prompts for a phone call. It's very rare that I'm available by phone, so let's hold off on that for now. If needed after we exchange some information, I will do my best to take the time for the call.** The 2293 fault is key here. Pretty common. You're going to need to replace the high pressure fuel pump (rail pump on the engine).

Okay can i get more of and explanation on why that is?

Sure, few moments while I put it together.

So, the engine computer is constantly commanding various things to happen while the engine is running. Turbo boost pressure increases, camshaft timing advance or retard, throttle blade position, and fuel pressure (both low side and high side). Right now, the computer is commanding a certain pressure to happen (let's say 150 bar for argument's sake) and the rail pressure sensor is only "seeing" 50 bar, then this fault will flag.

Thank you!

Random misfire cylinder 123
I'm curious as to what codes are still active. Is it still a misfire code? Several other component failures can cause "misfire" issues - a clogged exhaust gas recirculation valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/exhaust-gas-recirculation-egr-valve-replacement), a failed diverter valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/air-diverter-valve-replacement), even a failed cam...
My car's battery light is on and it started to act funny while driving, what do you think is wrong?
These are all signs of a failing battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-replacement). You will need to have the battery tested. When the battery fails, the vehicle will attempt to run off of the alternator, which can cause it to stress and fail as...
