Hi Michael i hope you are well .can you tell me is this all doors or just one ?

Initially it was the rear nearside door. I noticed it about a month agut I was able to lock it manually from the inside so it didn't bother me. Today though, it the drivers door as well
Automotive Expert
Ok so sadly its likely that these are unrelated and you have two door locks failing .they are very common and its not unusual for multiple to fail around the same time because they do the same amount of work .

Yea, I just checked the boot and the other 2 doors. They are fine. What would you recommend. Is it an easy fix for an all rounder all makes and models mechanic to fix or is it a job for a jaguar garage.
Automotive Expert
Ok so its relatively straight forward and an all makes mechanic should be able to replace them without issue

Ok, I need to consider if I should replace all 4 door locks, if 2 are gone it might be only a short matter of time before a 3rd then the 4th goes.
Automotive Expert
It’s possible but to be honest ive only ever replaced two at the same time .

I'll just replace the 2 broken locks so. Thanks for the help it's much appreciated especially given its 10 o clock at night. I was only doing a Google search. Didn't think it would lead to this conversation.
