Q: Truck not starting.

asked by on January 06, 2016

The truck only goes into gear when in four wheel drive high and the speedometer goes up when no gas has been given.

Your transfer case may have an internal issue or a shift linkage issue may be the cause. I recommend you have a qualified technician check to see if the transfer case is defective or you have just a linkage issue. Have this inspected from a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic.
