Q: Should you get an alignment after an engine replacement?

asked by on July 08, 2017

Short block is being replaced due to a recall. Should I have them align the wheels because of stresses being put on the frame?

Hi There, If the motor is removed and replaced properly, this should not impact the alignment. That is not to say that is unheard of as sometimes during the course of moving things around steering components may be accidentally moved, however it is not normal. I would suggest waiting to have the motor replaced and then checking it out to see that it drives correctly.
