Q: Shifting issue on 98 f150

asked by on

Have a 98 f150 starts fine just will not shift into gear unless I turn key to on pull shifter towards steering wheel and hold it then start truck and shift right into gear

It sounds like you may be having an issue with your shift lock actuator. I would recommend having this issue inspected by a qualified professional to verify that this is true. Consider YourMechanic as this can be done at your home or office.
