Car has dash the lights , radio turns on and so will outside lights. Someone put wrong key in car and now with the proper key we cant get it to start. Service theft deterrent light is on and so is engine light but no theft light just the words where milage is. The key in doesnt even ding nor make any noise to crank. We havr tried to reset it and havent had any luck at all.

My car has 85000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi. When the wrong key was put in the ignition it damaged the components inside the ignition causing it to shut the car down. The only way to fix this problem is to replace the ignition and have the new ignition programed to your car. The most cost effective way to fix this is to try your local locksmith because they can come to you and program the key. The other option would be to tow it to the dealership and have them fix it.

Tips for maintaining my Honda after 100,000 miles?
The best recommendation I can give to any car owner is follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule. The 100,000-mile service typically includes inspecting and, if necessary, replacing the fluids in your transmission, hydraulic brake system, and cooling system. Engine and cabin...

Can you put spark plugs and fuel injectors from a 1998 4.6L Expedition into a 2001 4.6L Expedition? (an auto parts store associate told me I could)
The spark plugs will not make any difference with the engine performance, however, the fuel injectors are different and will cause the computer to not operate the injectors properly. This is why the engine light came on with all of...
What causes my car to overheat and lose power steering?
You're probably right about the drive belt. The belt that turns the power steering pump also turns the water pump, so if it fails, it won't be long before the car overheats. The coolant will boil and you might see...

Hi there. If you did not properly bleed the cooling system after completing these repairs, it's more than likely that you have air bubbles inside the coolant system causing this problem. However, it could also be due to a bad...
