Q: Serpertine belt keep shreeding

asked by on

I just replace a seiged idler pulley and serpertine belt and drove seven miles and the serpertine belt is shreding again

My car has 227000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there. Typically when the serpentine belt shreds, it is due to either misalignment of the pulley’s or the belt is not properly adjusted. You might want to either purchase a service and repair manual for your Isuzu Rodeo or have a professional mechanic complete the serpentine belt replacement to reduce the potential of having this happen again.
