Q: P0038

asked by on November 17, 2017

I got the code P0038. And it says heater oxygen sensor heater control circuit high bank 1 sensor 2. What does that mean? What needs to be fixed ?

My car has 128099 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

This code is triggered when there is excessive voltage detected in the heated oxygen sensor circuit. This may cause the oxygen sensor to produce faulty readings resulting in improper air/fuel adjustments to be made by the computer. I would suggest having a professional from YourMechanic come to your location to diagnose and inspect your vehicle.
