Q: No beeping when locking car.

asked by on July 14, 2016

Locks with remote, but does not beep.

My car has 130000 miles.

I would verify with your Honda service department but typically the horn will only sound if you push the lock button a second time. This is to alert you that you’ve locked your doors again. The first time will flash the lights and the second time will sound the horn. If you do not get a horn then try your panic button to see if the horn works at all. If the horn still will not sound, even after hitting the panic button, then manually try your horn to see if it works. Have your horn checked to see why it stopped working if it won’t work manually. If you decide to get this fixed at this point, consider YourMechanic, as a certified technician can diagnose the issue with your horn and fix it accordingly. Good luck.
