Hi! Sandra Hope I can help sorry to hear about your code the P2423 is for the catalytic converter HC loaded in the exhaust catalytic converter , you might just need to run the car for a while and see if that comes back on and use some good fuel also might clean it out .
You could also have a exhaust leak in the system

Ok. I have been using premium gas in it for 2 weeks now and it hasn't come back on. I do have a faint smell of exhaust but can't confirm that that's not from other cars when I'm driving.

Okay just monitor the codes if comes back you might have a issue
I would make sure your [spark plugs](/topics-spark-plug-nissan/) and filters are good also
