asked by on October 15, 2017

I changed my side speaker With battery disconnected and after I took it for a while hours later and like 5 mins later it locked steering wheel and engine light, oil and battery came out I turned it off and they all went away and drove it back home which was like 4 mins

My car has 164000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

After disconnecting the battery in order to service a problem you may encounter stalling or other issues while the computer relearns idle. If you continue to have running issues after a couple days of driving then you will need to have the vehicle checked by a mechanic like one from YourMechanic to test the computer and theft system for possible problems after you disconnected the battery.

How do I turn on the vanity mirror light?
The vanity mirror light provides light to the vanity mirror, so that you can see it even in the dark. The light will automatically come on when you open the lid to the vanity mirror, and will automatically turn off...
Starter and catalytic converter failure
Hello. From what you describe it seems that your vehicle has more than one issue. Oil in the intake is usually caused by a dirty or clogged positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-positive-crankcase-ventilation-pcv-valve) or system. I would check to make...
What is a fair value
Hello. A salvaged title (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/what-is-the-difference-between-a-clean-title-and-a-salvage-title) generally deducts 20-40% of the Kelly BlueBook value (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-calculate-the-value-of-a-salvaged-car-by-jason-unrau). I would look at kbb.com (http://www.kbb.com/) to determine the fair market value of your vehicle, and then deduct 20-40% dependent on how well it was repaired....

Of course, first make sure that the engine is fully and correctly configured for CNG. If not, that alone will create problems, including overheating. If the engine is configured for CNG but it is still overheating, you can request an...
I'm not asking about the engine now. But would i be able to use the transmission from a 2000 ford f150 4.2 liter engine in a 2004
I would recommend double checking the engine size on the explorer. I believe that the V6 explorers all have a 4.0L not a 4.2L.
03 Ford expedition 4x4 grinding noise while applying brake and driving low speeds without touching brake. New brakes
Hi Gavin. Thanks for submitting your question today. In most cases, grinding while applying brakes is caused by worn brake pads (which you indicate were recently replaced), debris trapped between the pads and caliper, or using lower quality pads than...
Using conventional 80W90 gear oil instead of FS 75W90 can be a problem ?
The gear oil you put in the transmission will not cause the transmission to slip or cause loss of power due to clutch slippage. You should only use the recommended oils in the transmission or it may damage bearings and...
