Q: Motor makes window only go up slightly.

asked by on

Driver's side window will not go back up. The motor runs, and the window comes up slightly, but then it stops.

The problem is likely a faulty regulator or a window module that needs to be reprogrammed. BMW vehicles have an onboard computer (module) that must be programmed to know the correct window position for proper operation. A trained technician, such as one from YourMechanic, will be able to inspect exactly what your BMW needs.
