Q: misfire without CEL
A new (used) motor was installed 2 weeks ago after the original motor jumped timing and bent valve. New coil packs and plugs installed (oe plugs, r8 coils) after engine misfired on 4 and 3. After new coils were installed, misfire on 4 again. Ran b12 chemtool thru gas tank to clean injectors and fuel system, swapped coils 3 and 4. Codes cleared. Engine now misfiring without CEL at all. Misfire happens under load. Car also has a fluttering/choppy idle (no large RPM movement, but enough to cause slight motor shake). Cold start produces engine rattle for 1.5-2 seconds before clearing up.
