Measure fuel pressure on the fuel rail. If the pump turns on, that’s hopeful but it doesn’t mean there is actual pressure. Also, check for actual injector operation using a noid light. Is there an actual spark at the spark plugs? If the injectors are delivering fuel and there is a spark, other items to check are the coolant temperature switch, which must be functioning properly at cold start, and cylinder compression and air induction. If you want the required diagnostic steps performed by a certified Mechanic, dispatched by YourMechanic right to your location, please request a no start diagnostic and the responding mechanic will get this resolved quickly. Gauges not moving
Hi. A no-start condition with no rpm while cranking would leave me to suspect that the coil isn't switching. This causes your car to not produce any spark, contributing to your vehicle not starting. I would have a certified mechanic,...
Does it helps to run A/C or Compressor (by moving the knob to blue) during winter.
You can try to run it a couple time a month just to circulate the oil through the system. Yet, in most cases the a/c compressor may not come on if the temperature is too cold. You should use the...
Dodge Stratus 2002, Car won't start and No clicking sound
Hello. If there is no sound or any other response when trying to start your vehicle then it is usually a failing battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-replacement), a bad connection at the battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-cable-replacement), or possibly a failed starter (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/starter-replacement). There are other...
At slow speeds the ABS kicks in when breaking. I'm on dry pavement. Is the speed sensor or hydraulic brake booster pump at fault?
Hello. Most of the time this is caused by a wheel speed (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/wheel-speed-sensor-replacement) or a yaw sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/yaw-rate-sensor-replacement) issue. I would start by checking the tires. Make sure that they are all the same. If one of the tires is...

Coolant leaking 2009 Volvo Diesel D5 engine
Hello - coolant leaks (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/coolant-leaking-from-engine-head-gasket) have many sources, sometimes very subtle to locate. Since coolant evaporates on a hot engine, it is often hard to trace to it's source. It is still possible you have a blown head gasket (early...
