Q: Leaking coolant out of radiator drain tube

asked by on January 23, 2017

There is the drain plug on radiator with a hose attached to it, it is pumping coolant out of this

My car has 240000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

If you are referencing to the radiator drain tube then you need to check to make sure the radiator drain valve is in the closed position. If the drain valve to the radiator is closed and still leaking then try to open the drain valve and flush out any debris and try to close if again. If it still leaks then drain the radiator and try to remove drain valve and check sealing O-ring is damaged and replace O-ring and install plug and refill coolant and recheck for leaks. If leak continues then replace radiator.

The various audio settings (such as bass levels, balance, etc.), are controlled through the “TUNE/SCROLL” knob. Press the “TUNE/SCROLL” knob once, and “BASS” will display; then rotate the “TUNE/SCROLL” knob until the correct levels of bass are chosen. Press the...
Car not shifting out of first

Check engine light on, lost engine power 2x, now get 5-6 mpg less..ideas?
You will need to have the engine computer scanned (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-read-and-understand-check-engine-light-codes-by-jason-unrau) again to get the codes and then properly diagnose any codes that are received. Fuel evaporative codes may cause the truck to run richer than normal but should not cause...

My car won't start. Went to lunch came back out and When I crank it nothing happens.
It sounds like what you are describing may be related to a faulty starter relay. The starter relay (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/starter-relay-replacement) directs power from the battery to the starter solenoid which then engages the starter when you turn the key. When this...
