Need to replace the knock sensor how long can I drive till u get the part

My car has 55000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

It all depends on the problem the knock sensor is causing. If your engine is pinging when you accelerate then you may damage the piston and valves by driving it. It is not a matter of giving a time but the problems the sensor is causing can be immediate. If you need assistance with getting this fixed, consider YourMechanic, as one of our mobile technicians can come to your home or office to service your vehicle.
