Hi and welcome to Just Answer! My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be the expert to assist you today. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with your vehicle; I know how frustrating it can be. Please understand I do not know your level of automotive expertise so I may need to ask questions to find out information in order to provide the best possible service and solution. There are times when it may take me a moment to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience. Did this issue start immediately after Monro Muffler did the repairs?

No beforeO took it to them because i thought it might be the brakes
Automotive Expert
OK, thank you. As you're aware all vehicle will slow when you release the accelerator pedal. The rate at which it slows will determine if there is an issue. Are there any Warning Lights illuminated on the dash?

The brake light is on. The truck going down a hill light is on. And some other lights. Im gonna take a picture and send it
Automotive Expert
A sticking Caliper or defective Wheel Cylinder can cause the brakes to drag. A misadjusted Emergency Brake will also do the same thing. Normally if the brakes are sticking and causing the vehicle to slow considerably when the pedal is released you would have a "Burning" smell as the pads are always in contact with the Rotors. You mention the Brake and Hill Decent lights are on. To properly repair the vehicle you need to know what the DTC's are and in which module. A bad or defective ABS Control Module can also cause the brakes to drag. Are you able to drive the vehicle to AutoZone or O'Reilly's or a NAPA auto parts store? They normally will read the DTC's for free. Once you know what the DTC's are, will narrow down the area to focus on for repairs.

The abs sign was on alsoThey said the only read it if the check engine light is on
Automotive Expert
Ok, thank you. The Yellow light in the RPM gauge is for the VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) and that is the first thing they need to check. Were all the lights on when you went to Monro Muffler?
Automotive Expert
Thank you, \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* needs to refund your money and you need to get as far away from them as you can. Replacing Brake Pads, Calipers and Brake Lines with DTC's in the ABS / VDC system is an incorrect repair. When those lights are on it is indicating a Fault in that system and it needs to be diagnosed as that is a major safety system. Throwing parts at it without properly diagnosing the ABS / VDC system was wasting your money as you still have the issue. If they refund your money I would seek out the local Kia Dealer or an A.S.E shop that will perform proper diagnosis and repair. The last thing you want is to need the ABS / VDC system to work properly in a panic or hard brake and find out it's not there.

Okay thank you

Thank you so much. Do i just text this number?
Automotive Expert
You can ask for me;Customerand I will get the message. Good luck!

I called monro they said it may be a sensor or a wheelbearing. How does that sound?
Automotive Expert
No, not close. You need to know the exact codes for proper diagnosis. A wheel bearing when bad usually makes a Growl or Roaring type noise but it should not interfere with the vehicle rolling. Not sure what sensor they are trying to refer to but again most sensors will not cause the vehicle to slow down unless it places the vehicle into "Limp Mode" and that is not your issue. I would still demand my money back if it were my vehicle as now they are just guessing at your expense.
