Q: Just drove my chevy cobalt (08') from Washington state to Louisiana and back. Car did great during trip, even changed oil once in

asked by on September 19, 2017

Bought a cobalt about 6 months ago. Ran great. Just took vacation in Louisiana for a month and drove the car there. Not a problem on the way, drove it for about 4 hours shifts taking a 1-5 hour rests in between. Once we got there, oil percentage was getting low so we had it changed. Once vacation was over we drove the car back, taking longer rests (over night rests). About a week after we had gotten home the car battery died completely and had to be jumped, we jumped it and went on our way. Ever since the jump (a week ago) it has been taking the car a few seconds to turn over when starting. But runs fine once started. Today the check engine light came on. My husband is gone so I have been using the car to travel no more than a few miles a week. Worried it's going to die on me!!

My car has 70600 miles.
