Q: Is there a certain mileage point the catalytic converter needs replacing on a 2008 Sequoia?

asked by on February 06, 2017

I'm looking at buying a used Platinum with 191K miles and the carfax does not reflect these have been replaced yet. I had a 2002 Sequoia with 298K miles on it and we had to replace them at around 200K (engine light came on). Just wanted some feedback on this before I decide to purchase, knowing the expense involved. All the other normal maintenance (belts, oil changes) have been regularly done. I only drive 30 miles a day now, so I know I could keep this vehicle for a few years. If I wasn't commuting so far at the time, I would of kept that 2002!

My car has 191000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
