Q: Ignition switch won't turn

asked by on February 03, 2016

The ignition switch won't turn.

The first thing to try is to try and rock the steering wheel while turning the key to see if the steering is binding it. If this does not work then try another key if you have it. If none of this works you probably will need an ignition cylinder replacement. This is pretty common with the Saturn vehicles. I recommend you have a mechanic like one from YourMechanic inspect your vehicle’s ignition to determine if the ignition key cylinder needs replaced.
