Q: If i change out my ignition switch on a 2009 honda civic can i use the mechanic keys it comes with and just tape myfob close

if I get a new ignition switch and it comes with mechanic keys can I use those key and just tape my fob close to the ignintion till I can get a new key cut and programed ?

My car has 200000 miles.
