Q: Gas to diesel?
A 1993-1997 Toyota Corolla with the 1.8L 7afe engine runs off gas regularly, but would there be any benifits to changing it to a diesel? Further more, would it even be reliable to do?
Hi there. Changing from a gasoline powered vehicle to diesel would require a complete rebuild of virtually your entire powertrain; including engine, fuel system, ignition system, computer, sensors and fuel distribution network of lines and the tank. It’s not worth it at all.
