Water pump has rust around it. What does that mean?

Water Pump Replacement $187.27 - $1236.57 Get a Quote

Most water pumps are made out of commercial grade steel, which is not always rust resistant. In most cases, if the rust is spotty on the housing of the water pump, this is not something to worry about. However, if the rust is around the mounting next to the engine block, it could mean that the water pump gasket is broken or leaking slowly. Eventually the water pump seal may break and cause an overheating situation. In order to know for sure, contact one of our local mechanics who can inspect your water pump for any leaks or signs of damage.

car vibration
If the struts are defective (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/strut-assembly-replacement), that can be a cause of vibration. It sounds like the struts have to be replaced anyway, so I would suggest doing that first. Check the exhaust system (is it all OEM?). Check for...
How much does it cost to replace the lug nut stud on a 2006 Honda Pilot EXL
