Q: Gas pedal not going down when pressed.

asked by on

The gas pedal on my car is not depressing. I might need my throttle body looked at.

The throttle pedal may be blocked by your carpet. Check the pedal to make sure it is not being blocked. The pedal operates a cable and then to the throttle body assembly. Each of these would need to be checked for binding. I recommend you do not attempt to drive the vehicle for safety reasons until the problem is diagnosed.
