Q: gas gauge works but always reads as if it where full even if no gas is in the car

I turn on the car and the gas gauge moves to the full position and when I turn it off it will fall back down but it will read full if there is no gas in it

My car has 130000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.

The fuel sender inside the tank is most likely open circuit or short circuit and needs to be replaced inside the tank on the pump.
