the best way to check for play is by raising the vehicle or wheel that is being inspected and move the wheel back and forth to check for slack if there is slack then you have bad tie rod ends or a bad bearing.

Hey. When I drive my ford [taurus](/topics-taurus/) se 1999. It feels that my [brakes](/topics-brake-ford/) are constantly scrapping and not releasing. There's a scrapping sound at all times while driving and gets worse when I brake. The brakes do work. And I release the parking park before driving in reverse or drive. Either way, the car does move. The [engine](/topics-engine-ford/) works. The wheels and brakes are the problem. Also! My tire went flat two now and the other ones are not holding pressure they are all new tires.
