Q: Expedition not starting

asked by on

My Expedition cranks, but will not start.

The most common cause for this would be the fuel pump. However, that is just one basic cause. You will need to see what the engine is missing. The presence of a spark, adequate fuel rail pressure, a fuel injector pulse, all need to be verified. If all are present, fuel quality, clogged exhaust, fouled plugs, or a mechanical problem would be the next items to check. If you would like this inspected or repaired, consider having a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come and diagnose why your car isn’t starting.
