Q: Engine shuddering and groaning

asked by on

The engine in my car is making a shuddering sound when I accelerate after a stop. It also makes a groaning noise when I start it.

There are common problems on this car with the starter clutch in the transmission. I would recommend having the starter clutch inspected, and replaced if necessary.
