Q: Q: Convertible top not working

asked by on

The convertible top is not working.

Convertible tops are usually driven by an electric motor or a series or electric motors. It is likely that the motor or one of them has gone bad. Some vehicles will also have a control module or computer for the convertible top that may have gone bad also. I would recommend having your vehicle inspected by a mechanic who is sufficient in electronics diagnosis, as wiring diagrams will be needed. The mechanic will need to confirm your symptoms, and then inspect the convertible top system for electrical faults.
