When accelerating the rpms get stuck and it doesn't shift Mechanic's Assistant: How old is the transmission? Have you noticed any leaking? Just checked transmission fuel and that is fine haven't tried anything else Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? It also all of a suddenly got louder and it shakes, and now the rpm problem, just within the last 10 days

163000, check engine light is on, not sure about the fluid i just bought it in nov, and yes gradually getting worse

ok thank you for the info Go to the local parts store and have then scan it and give the fault codes, that will give you any engine fault codes in it only, not transmission, if there is like TPS, Throttle position sensors or MAF sensor code then it could be engine related but if there was not , the code was like for evap issues or HVAC then most likely the transmission fluid needs to be replaced or worst case the transmission clutches are worn out at 163k it could be either they need to run the old fluid thru a paper filer that has a mesh screen at end of it to look for small metal shavings in the fluid, if found then we need a rebuild of trans most of the times, if only low or dark then maybe service will take care of it Please Read Below How to Get Back in touch with Me You Can Always Come Back to this Conversation and Ask Me any Follow up Question you May have on this Issue (You can Copy this Link Page & Paste it in your Browser when Ready and it will Open up our Conversation Again) or there should be a Tab on your Screen to Add me As Your Favorite Expert I'm Online Daily from 7 Am Till Late Eastern Time Zone Thank You?Chad Farhat?ASE Certified Technician
