Howdy from Tennessee, I'm Chris aka Moose. Who am I helping today? I'm glad you've come here to get help. I will do my best to get the answer you are looking for. I help many customers, so sometimes my replies are delayed, I will respond once available. I try to be online at 1-5 pm and 10 pm-5 am every day. Normally a glow plug code is just a bad glow plug. Here are the replacement steps. [https://www.dropbox.com/s/9s90emk1c8vev5c/66GP8.pdf?dl=0](https://www.dropbox.com/s/9s90emk1c8vev5c/66GP8.pdf?dl=0) #8 is the cylinder closest to the firewall on the driver's side. To test and confirm the plug is to blame. You would unplug it and test the wire to it for DC voltage when the key is turned on. You want to see battery voltage. If not then let me know. It is 1.2 hours of labor to replace one glow plug. Most dealer labor rates are $100-130 an hour.

Are you also a part of yourmechanic.com??? I was orig on that site and was gonna just have them come out tomorrow to look at it My son is no mechanic, he knows a little but I looked at the steps and it looks pretty hardScale of 1-10 for how difficult it is??? What do you think

No, I am not I would say it's about a 3 with 10 being the hardest. If he is not confident, then I would not suggest doing the job and possibly cause more damage.

I’m just gonna ask, so this is a new truck for us , my son was checking it out and found a tuner (I think) on the truck but it wasn’t connected He connected it and then his truck wouldn’t start, and I guess he had to remove the Oem [exhaust](/topics-exhaust-chevy/) stuff and then it started he now needs a smog inspection so he needs to put thst stuff back on How do we delete the tuner thing Lol I’m sorry I’m lame I’m just trying to help my kid outOh oops I guess I need to ask you thst in a separate textyou can mark this one as complete
