Q: check engine light 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan

asked by on

hello! can a bad pcv valve ignite the check engine light?

A failed positive crankcase ventilation valve may cause an abnormal situation inside the engine that may trigger a response from one or more of the sensors. The best thing to do would be to have the vehicle read and the codes pulled up to see exactly what codes have popped up then diagnose accordingly. Consider hiring an experienced technician like one from YourMechanic who can come out with a scanner, read the vehicle and determine which system needs to be looked and offer a more personal diagnosis.
