you mention you were driving at high speed and the vehicle began to slow on it's own? did any "Warning" lights light up on the Dash? is the Check Engine Light on? Does the Engine Crank Over? Does it sound like it is cranking over very, very fast?

the car started slowly down on its own, there was no lights turned on, so i thought the tire popped, but as it slowed down i started accelerating but the car just kept slowing down til i pulled over and the shaking/cranking noise was even loud til the engine stoppedac, radio, lights everything worksexcept the engine doesnt start

OK, based on your statement that there was engine noise as it slowed down you need to verify if it will turn over? or not? that will determine the next steps you take for diagnosis and repair.
Does there appear to be "Metallic" material in the Oil? anything abnormal on the Dipstick? is there anything "Shiny" on it?

Does the "Starter" engage the Ring Gear and cause the engine to spin over and try to start? or does it just clunk? or make a knocking noise when you turn the key?

Based on what you've told me it sounds like there may be "Internal Engine" damage. When an engine loses power after running at high speed for a period of time it can be due to a "Mechanical" failure internal to the engine (Especially when associated with engine noise). This is a catastrophic failure and will require engine removal and disassembly to determine root cuase and what repair path is best depending on the damage.

The first code is for a Knock Sensor issue and can be related to the Knock Sensor itself, bad fuel or an issue with the ECU telling the knock sensor bad information based on what it is receiving.
The second code is for a Gross OBD-II Leak (Usually the gas cap is left off.
The third code is for the Thermostat. Both the Knock Sensor and the Thermostat can cause drive-ability issues but will not stall a vehicle running on the highway
Still not sure what you need?
Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
A cylinder #6 misfire doesn't necessarily mean the plug is bad. There are many other things that could cause a single cylinder misfire, from a faulty fuel injector to an engine mechanical problem. Anything that causes incomplete or abnormal combustion...
The PATS system or passive anti theft system is not turning off the arming of the system and may need to be reprogrammed as per the technical bulletin issued by the manufacturer. I recommend looking on the dash and if...
Hello there, the P0022 code (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p0022-obd-ii-trouble-code-camshaft-position-a-timing-over-retarded-bank-2-by-jay-safford) is indicating that the car's computer has over-retarded the engine timing. This makes sense with the 87 octane gasoline used instead of the 93 octane gasoline. The car was most likely attempting to adjust...
Rubber degrades over time. Your tires are constantly exposed to the atmosphere, o-zone, etc. The rubber goes through constant heating and cooling cycles causing the rubber to get harder and eventually crack. As a rule of thumb, for safety sake,...
Hi there. Thanks for writing in about your 2000 Lexus GS400. Compressors can go bad (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ac-compressor-replacement) due to oil saturation. It is likely that the technician spilled additional oil on the compressor when replacing the valve cover. The technician may...
This could be either the ignition control module or the ECM which gives direction to the ignition control module. I would start by checking the power supply to the ignition control module to see if it is receiving any power...
After some research, it seems that the panel does in fact fold down to create a larger cargo area on some models. Consult your owners manual for the specific procedure on folding down the separation panel in your vehicle.
Hello, thank you for writing in. If there is no damage to the passenger side of the vehicle, then do not worry about replacing that side's axle. You can just replace the left side. Double check the rest of the...
