Q: Car makes no sound when trying to start.
The car will not start. There is no sound when I turn the key. When I first started having problems, the dash would light up when I turned the key, but now nothing lights up. The battery had been checked.

I would still look at the battery and see if the cables are corroded. I recommend having a technician come inspect your vehicle and clean the battery terminals and check voltages from the switch. If the battery is OK, you may need a new ignition switch in the steering column.
