I have a 04 acura tsx the battery is new the alternator is new and the starter is new. How after one day of not being driven the car won't start. This is the 3rd time this is happening. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded? They are clean and tight with no corrosion. Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your TSX yourself? What have you tried so far? Yes the battery was replaced, no problems. Then the alternator finally the starter. After each fix the at cranked with zero problems. After it sits for a day it dies or has little power.

I will do my best to help you resolve them. Please understand that I do not know your knowledge or capabilities so I may need to ask questions to find out basic information to help solve your specific problem. For this issue you will have to do a amp draw test, below are some videos that show you how,its not easy, 10 out of 10 on complexity, once you find the offending fuse post that here and then we will have to break it down from there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRcj1fQcWwU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF1gijj03\_0

I don't own one of those amp things.I just don't know what the issue is after a new battery, alternator, and starter.
Automotive Expert
it could be anything electrical on the vehicle, you will need to take this to a trusted mechanic and have him perform the tests to locate the source of the draw

Okay thank you Shawn I guessed this would be the problem. That's all the questions I have for now.

Hey I have more questions?
Automotive Expert
ok ask away

I just got a high level diagnostics ran on my Acura TSX 04. they still weren't able to identify a problem but I don't think that they did it correctly because they were trying to charge over $700 just to tighten the starter bolt.I'm just very confused at this point because I've tried everything tightened all the loose cables got the diagnostics ran my car has power but it just won't start.
Automotive Expert
so a shop charged you 700 to tighten a bolt and didnt fix the vehicle?

They tried to but I wasn't paying $700 for someone to do something to a car that I could do myself
Automotive Expert
oh thats good, so does the starter click when you try to start ?

It was in the beginning and then over time it just stopped making noise completely like it doesn't turn over doesn't make a sound anything.
Automotive Expert
ok check power to main and signal wire while a helper starts and let me know what volt you have there and at the battery

Thank you for all your help. Got my car back working.

your very welcome, merry christmas!

I went for and oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. Why would they also replaced my rear brakes and pads at 19k miles?
Hi there. From the description you have provided, going in for an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection, being told your vehicle needs rear brakes at 19,345 miles and leaving there $580.00 poorer, makes me cry too! It makes absolutely...

Grinding noise during starting
