Q: 2016 new car with coolant hoses broke and car overheated

asked by on February 02, 2017

My brand new car of 1 year overheated and shut down. Had coolant hoses front of engine leaking, broken and brittle. Also the coolant Y hose on left side of engine broken. My check coolant light had been coming in in December so had inspected and they said fine, did reset of my sensors. 4 weeks later after driving 10 min car overheated and turned off. History: When bought this brand new car, noticed loud lawnmower type sound often. Even after turned car off. This sound went away after awhile. Dealership could not replicate sound and found no problem. Also have taken in many times because various seat functions didn't work which they found were not plugged in, door lock sensors, distronic safety driving feature suddenly turns off while driving. All find no problems and do system update. Why would 1 year old car, which has had all required oil changes, etc.... have bad coolant hoses, etc...? Thank you!!

My car has 23000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
