Sorry it took me so long to post a review. I haven't had much of a chance to test out the newly installed windshield wiper motor/transmission assembly. I can now say that they work great. It's nice to have reliable wipers again. Now this won't be just a 'fair weather' car. Very happy.

Joseph was actually early to our appointment and got right to work trying to diagnose the intermittent windshield wiper problem. He identified the problem as a wiper motor that loads up and overheats and recommended replacing the motor. We have an appointment set up for him to do this work next week. It's important to note that this car has been taken to at least 4 mechanic shops (including 2 dealerships) and no one could seem to figure out the problem. Had we only known about this years ago when the problem started, the car would have still been in warranty. We really appreciate Joseph's help and hope to finally have a car that can be driven in rain and snow once again.

I have to tap the gas pedal to get my car started.

This could possibly be an issue with your Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor or MAP sensor. This sensor monitors the pressure inside the engines intake manifold. This pressure changes when the throttle is depressed. Perhaps the sensor is only reading a...
Car only starts when I pump the gas pedal.

From this description it seems that there could be separate issues happening to your Mitsubishi Eclipse. The three most common reasons I see for a car unable to start without pushing the gas pedal include; the throttle body gasket may...
Engine shaking and knocking after spark plug replacement.
Answered by Andrew
This sounds to me like the cylinder head has been severely damaged. If the burn of the coil and spark plug started on the plug end this would mean that combustion chamber temperatures from inside the engine were allowed past...
