In a word? GREAT!! Not only a good mechanic, but a very personable guy to boot! Did the valve cover gasket on my 1998 Tracker and showed me the crispy old gaskets, then sprayed cleaner on the engine block to get rid of the hot oil smell next time I drive. Had no problem explaining what he was doing and why and had a real can-do attitude - the smile you see in his profile picture is genuine - he's a very happy person who shares that positive attitude easily. Great experience, and I'll ask for him next time I need any repair.

Great communication. He was running a little late from his previous appt but called me over a half hour before my appt to let me know he was running behind and when he would be there. Very professional.

5 star all the way. It's easy to hire someone to change out a part or fix a specific issue, but what makes a real mechanic is being able to see whats really going on, trouble shoot it, fix what need to be fixed. Chris showed up early, installed a the part I needed, and then was able to find and fix a major issue with my electrical system within an hour.

After a quick review of the symptoms, Trevor did a quick test to confirm it is in fact a fuel pump that has gone bad. After the proposal comes in, I will be scheduling Trevor to replace it.

I am not sure how to respond to this. His heart was in the right place in going the extra yard to research my car’s issue. Unfortunately, it did not work out and it cost me an additional service fee. After consulting with a dealer and another mechanic, my original suspicions are going to be repaired. It is going to cost me to tow it there, I feel better about getting it done. This service appears to be good for most situations where towing is just another expense. Unfortunately in this case it appears to be an expense I have to absorb. Trevor is professional and explains his findings well.

Sounds as if the car is not going into gear. I have RPM reading odometer, not sure what it should be reading when driving on freeway.
Answered by Marvin
Hello and thank you for contacting YourMechanic. Watch the tachometer (rpm gauge) (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/3-essential-things-to-know-about-your-car-s-tachometer) as the vehicle is in motion. When driving, you should see the tachometer go up and then go down a little when the transmission shifts gears. For...
