He was very nice, patient and knowledgeable. He let me know what maintenance will be needed to eliminate the clunking noise going forward and how to avoid it in the future. I will be requesting Al to complete the service of my car in the near future.

SERVICE

Inspection / Diagnostics

AMOUNT PAID

$187.21
by Russell from Arvada, CO 80003

Dave discovered that the knock sensor was disconnected so we both thought that the problem would be solved with the check engine light coming on. He reconnected the wire harness and the light did "not" come on (no check engine of trac off) and the car "did" shift properly into 4th. However, after driving for 30 minutes going to work the next morning, the check engine light came back on with "Trac off" light coming on as well. Car failed to shift into 4th. So I will probably need the knock sensors replaced after all. Not Dave's fault at all. What would be the cost to replace no knock and I guess there are gaskets that would need to be replaced that were not on the first estimate.

Key does not turn and steering wheel locked.

Answered by Robert
Hello. If the engine runs fine when you are holding the accelerator pedal down and dies when you release it then you may have a couple of possible issues. I would first check the vacuum hoses going to the engine....
