A few different problems can cause the vehicle to be unable to get into gear or gain speed. The most common would be:

  • shifter linkage
  • torque converter
  • transmission failure
  • fuel pump
  • driveline fault

A qualified technician such as one from YourMechanic will be able to diagnose this fault and preform any repairs required.
