Q: Wheel play

asked by on January 04, 2017

I just replaced my wheel bearing ( pressed in style) about a month ago because there was play when rocking the wheel. Immediately after replacing and testing it, there was no play and drove fine. Now when I try rocking the wheel, there is play at 12 and 6 as well as 3 and 9. I'm really not looking forward to replacing the bearing again since it was a lot of work, so I'm wondering if it could be something else causing the issue and how I can figure that out.

I used Timken bearings (stamped koyo) if that matters at all.
My car has an automatic transmission.
