Q: Wheel bearing replacement for pressed in wheel bearing

asked by on August 09, 2017

can you replace right front wheel bearing that is pressed in

My car has 190000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Yes, you can replace a wheel bearing that is pressed in, however this usually requires a hydraulic press n order to remove and replace the bearing. Alternatively, you may remove the hub and take it to a machine shop or another mechanic to have them remove it. If not done properly, this can damage the housing that the bearing is pressed into.
