What does the Transmission warning light mean?

The Transmission warning light is located on the instrument panel, and illuminates when a problem with your transmission is detected. Tip Like all warning lights, the Transmission warning light briefly illuminates when the car is first turned on. The light is only a problem if it stays lit when the engine is turned on.
