Hello, This Is Keith from Just Answer.
Just following up with your concern from the other day.
It sounds like your issue is has to do with the valve timing actuator.
That would explain why the noise goes away after the oil pressure builds up.
It shouldn't take that long for the pressure to build up though. So you may have another issues causing the timing issue.
If the oil is overdue for a change. I would start here.
If that is good, Then the next step would be verifying the oil pressure is good and the timing marks line up.
If all of this is good. I would lean towards replacing the timing actuator.
But you should have some fault codes. If you do, Can you send them to me?
