Q: Starts then dies

asked by on February 22, 2017

My vehicle is tbi and starts then stalls. I have spark and good fuel pressure but the car still starts then stalls. I have a new pump and filter. New ignition components. What could it be?
My car has an automatic transmission.

When the engine is in crank mode the fuel pump relay is energized by ignition start signal. Once the car starts the fuel pressure relay is energized by the oil pressure switch. If you have fuel pressure during crank but loose it once it starts then replace the oil pressure switch and retest.
